Wrong FROM number shown in SMS sent items - Xphone

Hi all,

I have an O2 Xphone running Windows Mobile 2003 (not sure if it's SE).

AIUI the O2 Xphone is the same handset as the Orange E200, just branded

differently (is that right? I'm a smartphone newbie!).

I have just transferred my Orange PAYG number to the O2 PAYG SIM that I

acquired for the Xphone. Everything seems to be working fine *except*

for one annoying detail: the 'From' number displayed at the top of each

message in the Sent Items folder is the original number from the O2

SIM, i.e. the number that I thought should have been obliterated from

the phone and replaced with my Orange number.

If I text myself then the Orange number shows up on the text in the

inbox; if I ring the phone using the Orange number then it connects

fine. I just don't understand where/how/why on some level the phone/SIM

still 'thinks' it's using the O2 number. If anyone could help me clear

this up then I'd be extremely grateful! It's not actually interfering

with the phone's functioning but it's just bugging me not having

everything perfect.
