Guest mcwarre Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 I just had the answerphone problem where the voicemail symbol won't delete. Fair enough I called orange and asked them to reset the voicemail. They did successfully but reset my phone. All shortcuts background screens etc have been wiped. All my registration codes for programmes (don't say it I know) I bought have also been wiped. Gits.
Guest mcwarre Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003     They have also cert locked it and network locked it
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=22908 To easily de-cert again
Guest yatpeak Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 They recerted it when they got rid of the voicemail symbol? Wyatt
Guest casper508 Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 So they reset all the settings instead of the voicemail thingy only! A hard reset over the air! Bummer!
Guest Hax Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Suspect it was more a case of the registry getting itself corrupted - probably no different to the other recert problems people have seen and just "sparked" off by the SIM update. Was any of your other data deleted - i.e. the actual files belonging to installed (on the phone not sd card) applications or any data in the ipsmmy documents folder? Hax
Guest mcwarre Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Lost everything in IPSM....... Can't connect to GRPS (Orange can't sort it) as it can't even be selected or manually set. They are sending a new phone. They wanted to increase my customer care from £2.50 to £5 as this would be a claim. Not likely. In the end I am getting a new phone for free. OK I have the inconvenience of setting it up again but I will have loads of accessories for sale on eBay!!!!! ;) :(
Guest madu Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Now all we need is a new piece of software that would firewall O's attempts to bugger your phone over the air...
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Wait a minute... The Network Lock was back? How is that possible?
Guest mcwarre Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Syvwlch, Dunno but it was. I unlocked it again and my PAYG Voda SIM worked okay.
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Was it the same Unlock code at least?
Guest mcwarre Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Syvwlch, Yep it was the same code. Strange.........
