Problems sending/recieving sms/mms

When someone sends me an SMS I can recieve it ok, but the time is all wrong. It will say something along the lines of the text being sent 5 hours before it was recieved or 3 hours after etc...However, when i try to send text sometimes i will get a message saying that it is unable to send and to check my network connection or something like that, even when i have full bars and that little G on the top is showing. Its really starting to frustrate me, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I noticed though that i seem to get this error message when im sending a particularly long text (when the message runs onto another text and need to send 2 to send my message). As far as MMS goes, it just plain wont let me send them. Il try to send them and when i check the outbox my message is there with a green arrow on the envolope, then it swittches to what looks like a stopwatch, then it switches to a red X. Anyone know whats up with this and why it wont send? Also, what do these symbols mean?

Your MMS settings are wrong. This could be in the MMS settings menu or from your settings/data connections menu.

If you want help you'll need to post the following:

Phone model

Windows version

Network operator

Any other info you think will help/

Don't worry - you'll work it out eventually. ;)

How could i forget that lol. Ok, Audiovox 5600, 2003 SE, Not sure what the network operator is...is that like my company? if so its cingular. For other information, um....under 'mms settings', the 'preferences' are "retrieve immediately, No. of attempts 3, connect via the internet, original resolution" Thanks for the reassurance, i really want to figure this out, but what bothers me is that i have sent and recieved mms before without problems. So i would really appreciate any input on this. Thanks everyone
