Charging phone via USB

Isn't it possible to charge a phone with a USB Cable? If so, how is it done? Can someone please get back to me. Thanks.

Sure, on my c500 i use the usb lead that came with it.

yea but b careful while touching the phone while its charging thru the USB.... it gives a mild electric shock (atleast mine does!)

neither do I. I just plug the phone in and it charges. Not sure if you need Activesync instaled first though, as it has always just happened to be on my machine before I plugged it in.

I believe there is a way to charge the phone thorugh usb without using Activesync but I'm not sure how - I think it may involve registry hacks - you would need to search the site. Far easier to just install Activesync, you don't actually need to sync anyhting.

And w411y: Dude, that is not good. Electric devices are not meant to shock you when plugged in! I hope you don'tcharge it with the mains adapter!! You won't be on this site for long if you do ;)
