Guest Socrates Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 (edited) I had a hell of a time getting AUTD to work correctly under SP1. Eventually, though, by shear luck I did get it working. Moved to new Exchange server with SP2 and it won't work. It's making me crazy. I can sync no problem, and the server originally asked if I wanted to be on AUTD when I synced the first time, and I said yes, but it never would send out the emails - I turned on logging and saw that it never even tried to send them. Put in the "toruble shooter" web tool and it shows that the phones time is expired constantly even though the phone syncs regularly. The phone now regularly says "Activesync failed to configure your account to sync as new items arrive. contact support.. etc" GOD I HATE ACTIVESYNC. Desktop and Exchange. Why build such a powerful mobile OS and then cripple it with version after version of crap sync software. Anyway, if anyone has AUTD working with Exchange 2003 SP2 (especially on SBS 2003) and a WM2003SE Smartphone, please let me know. Edited October 26, 2005 by Socrates
Guest Socrates Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Here is what I had to do to get it working: Export email to PST file. Export Rules to a rwz file. Turn of SMTP on server. Delete mailbox for user. Run cleanup agent to purge mailbox. Recreate new mailbox. Hard Reset SMT5600. Uninstall Activesync and delete ActiveSync directory. Reinstall Activesync. Restart SMTP on server. Sync handheld to EMPTY mailbox. Handheld correctly asks all questions about AUTD, and YAY AUTD now works. Am reimporting the pst file now. Hopefully that won't break the AUTD. It is just so damned sensitive.
