transfering text messages from spvc500 to spvc500

Hi

As the title says. I see someone has posted asking about transferring from 500 to 550 but not sure if from one spvc500 to another will be the same process or not. My old spv500 has lost function in the hash key so I have a new one but am needing to transfer my data

I have contacted orange who advised copying the cemail.vol file but it acts as read only and so I'm unable to ;) . I have 4 days with my old phone before it goes back and have about 300 work texts I could do with holding onto.

SO , can someone steer me in the right direction please as i am desperate not to lose all the texts I have.

hurrah .. problem sorted..

downloaded http://www.jeyo.com/companion.asp free trial software which imported all texts from old phone to software.. saved that file to my docs.. plugged in new phone and imported all text messages..

seems like a fair fix and is still importing as I typed my 300 odd messages.

didn't cost anything either!!
