And you'd be having contacts, messages, notes, calendar events backed up on your desktop computer via Active Sync. Alternative: use Sprite Backup utility written by Sprite Software. It requires ActiveSync connection but performs a total data backup (excluding OS and preinstalled software).

Guest Disco Stu Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 ActiveSync's backup facility only works for Pocket PC phones. You can delete partnerships by hitting File, Mobile Device and clicking the one you want to get rid of, then File, Delete Partnership. If you still have problems, look on the PC in c:\Documents & Settings \Application Data \Microsoft \ActiveSync \Profiles and delete as necessary. The only full backup programs for Smartphones are Sprite and the All-Locations product available from Handango etc. If you are on Orange you can use their service for Contacts, My Documents etc, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are programs to let you save SMS etc on the PC. Commercially there are Jeyo products but search here (or on Airfagev) for AllExport or SP Studio.
Guest J-Foundation Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Commercially there are Jeyo products but search here (or on Airfagev) for AllExport or SP Studio. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AllExport appears to be dead, and SP Studio appears either not to work, be outdated, or is in an oriental language. just a heads-up to those of you digging through pages and pages of results using the search function. i'm having loads of red herrings and dead-end wild goose chases trying to fix a few things on my phone, been searching here for hours and have ended up with about 20 Modaco tabs open in Firefox, and each one of them seems to only link me to another thread or page. i'm going nuts here. if anyone cares, i'm on : qtek 8100 windows mobile 2003 SE any solutions, please PM me, as i'm unlikely to be able to find this thread again. i'm off to drill holes in my skull.
