ive been trying to figure out how to sync my smt5600 with my computer via bluetooth. i got a bluetooth dongle. i am suing drivers that came with it and a service pack 2. when i can create a COM port on my computer. then when i go to sctive sync and change the COM port to port 6 (thats the one that i created), it doesnt recognize it as a syncronization port. then when on my phone i go to bluetooth/COM ports and try to create a new port, it only allows me to create an incoming port (eather 6 or 7). the button "new outgoing port" is there but i cant click on it. PLZ HELP! i used the bluetooth sync guide that i found on this forum but i still cant figure out how to do it. IM OUT OF IDEAS!!

this is a common battle. Bluetooth and Microsoft are a nightmare together...

All you can do is take mammoth steps like re-installing Activesync, hard resetting your device and things like that. I am not saying that this is your only route - you have to try all of the step by step guides and see if they work for you. There are a couple here in the site somewhere - a search will turn them up.

Unfortunately, you may find it becomes a lost cause - like me and i dont doubt many others - but if you do get it working, DONT MESS WITH IT!! =D> ;)/

i managed to get BT sync working and then accidently had the dongle pulled from the hub and it has never worked since - and i tried, believe me!!

good luck and sorry i cant help with a magic answer...
