SPV C500 Tom Tom

Have a new C500 and am trying to use Tom Tom. Unfurtunately, it crashes after about 2 mins!! All seems ok until then. Have ugraded the ROM to 4.2.1.4, still no joy. Only other thing I can think is either the phone is timing out or my new 512MB (Kingston) MiniSD is either incompatible or defective.

Anyone got any ideas??

What version of TomTom do you have and in what way was is it crashing?

For example if you have changed phones and you had TomTom5 on another phone you will need to contact TomTom to get a new activation code.

It is Tom Tom Mobile 5 not used on other phone.

C500 locks once you are engaged in a route after approx 5 mins. Only way to resolve issue is to power down via on/off button or as a last resort remove the battery!!!!!!! Nasty.....

Final plan is to use mates MiniSD card with SW loaded to see if it is a Memory Card incompatibility problem. Am currently using a Kingston 512MB card.

Problem sorted: The Kingston 512MB MiniSD card is either incompatible or defective. Tom Tom works fine when using an alternative card!!! Next step is to get the card replaced...

Glad to hear it's sorted, not heard of a card problem beofre so chances are it's the card being faulty than a standard incompatability issue.
