Guest supersonicnoel Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I've just bought a Vodafone VPA Compact and I really pleased with it, I'm a little dissappointed that it can't take Windows Mobile 5 but hey we can't have everything. I understand that the O2 XDA Atom coming out some time soon replacing the mini. Also the T - Mobile MDA Compact will be replaced by the MDA Compact II. Does anyone know whether Vodafone are getting on the band waggon and going to release a VPA Compact II Thanks
Guest rai29 Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) I understand that the O2 XDA Atom coming out some time soon replacing the mini. Also the T - Mobile MDA Compact will be replaced by the MDA Compact II. Does anyone know whether Vodafone are getting on the band waggon and going to release a VPA Compact II Hi after calling my friend at Vodafone Germany to ask him about the VPA IV today, he told me that the VPA compact II has just been announced. There has not even been as press release on then VPA compact II - but I have seen it in then preview listing of the german Vodafone online shop. >VodafoneShop.de< The device is probably based on the HTC Wizard and comparable to the T-Mobile MDA Vario or the Qtek 9100. A very small picture of the Vodafone VPA compact II can be found >here< (link may change, last checked on: Nov 10, 2005) It is not based on the HTC Refresh (like eg. T-Mobile MDA compact II) that looks like the HTC-Magician-based phones like the "old" VPA compact (as you probably expected) Anyway, there are roumors that Vodefone will also sell an HTC-Refresh-based VPA - its name ist not known yet. Hope this information answers your question. I'll post new information as I get them. Rai Edited November 10, 2005 by rai29
