As title really, had a C500 for what seems like ages and the only thing missing (IMO) is FM radio and Wifi.

Now O have disabled it in the C600 I'm going to look elsewhere.

Are there any phones out there with FM radio?

SonyEricsson W800i and K750i has FM radio, and IMHO beats any Microsoft Smartphone hands down.

I have both a W800i and C550, and the more I use the C550, the more I think it is a POS. As for the W800i, the more I use it, the more I think how wonderful it is.

Those are not smartphones. I used them too, but I can't compare them to MS Smartphones. They don't offer me enough PIM functionalities and customisation features, although they are very good phones if you do not enjoy tinkering around with your gadgets.

The N70 is a good option, but right now the SP5 is still the best-looking device money can buy imho.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

I bought the missus a K750i (good test platform, and I don't get stuck with a carp phone!!) and must say I can't see what all the fuss is about. The screen is far too small and the camera is, well, just OK. Not good enough to replace a digi-cam so not worth it IMHO.

I have to have a Smartphone/Pocket PC platform for the Exchange Push functionality (when it's finally released) and, like others, (after a few teething problems) find that the Smartphone just does what I want it to. All apart from FM radio and Wireless that is. :D

My contract's up with Orange in a few weeks, think I might sit tight and see what's on the horizon. ;)

If you're prepared to switch to a Pocket PC based phone rather than just a Smartphone, check out the forthcoming XDA Atom:

http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/handhelds/0,3...9095540p,00.htm

It's not for me, no keypad and no 3G means it won't be worth splashing the best part of £400+ on it.

Another 'smartphone' option would be the SE P990i on it's way Q1 2006. This has 3G, RDS FM radio and wifi but this also would be £400+ initially.

If you're prepared to give up smartphone functionality, the K750i is a good phone but the screen is tiny. Also the forthcoming N91 is wifi and FM radio enabled.

So nothing great just yet, but if you wait about 3 - 4months and you're prepared to spend some money you'll be fine.

Thanks magic peanuts.

Don't mind going to Pocket PC but would have to have a keyboard so that rules the Atom out. SE990 looks interesting, don't think the Symbian O/S will support Exchange Push technology so that might rule that one out too!!

Picky b*gger aren't I. ;)

I've just got one off Ebay & as a radio its fine. The downside is as I suspected, Motorola wire up the jack plug differently to HTC, so you don't get stereo sound, & the microphone doesnt work so you cant use it as a headset :x

Anybody with an MPX want to buy a Headset with a built in radio, or, anybody know what the pin configuations are on the Moto jack pin & I can cut it off & re wire it to suit my C550??????
