Cingular Media .NET home page

I followed the instructions posted on configuring the data connections for my SMT 5600 on the CIngular network. I can browse the web, synch email, send SMS messages, but for some reason I can not get the Media .NET home page to load. I did have one issue, I had to configure Internet Explorer to connect to the "The Internet" rather than the "WAP Network". I have spent a few hours with Cingular support, so I have to come to the experts. Any help anyone?

The best idea is try using a WAP+Proxy connection. Hopefully this will give you access to the homepage.

Create GPRS connection.

Description: GPRS WAP

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: WAP.CINGULAR

User name: [email protected]

Password: CINGULAR1

Primary DNS:

Secondary DNS:

IP address:

Create proxy connection

Description: WAP Proxy

Connects from: The Internet

Connects to: WAP network

Proxy (name:port): wireless.cingular.com:80

Type: WAP

Username:

Password:

In Settings - Data connections

WAP connection: GPRS WAP

In Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections

Untick 'Auto detect settings'

Set 'Select network: WAP network'

You could also try using proxy port 8080 instead of port 80.
