Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I'm sure i've heard of this before, but i cant find anything here about it. Why when you are on a secure site does the little IE "secure site" padlock indicator appear on _every_ window other than the home screen, in the title bar. It's annoying me, and i'm fairly sure its IE as it disappeared when i remote killed the IE process. Weird bug making my SPV look cluttered ;)
Guest wideawake Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I believe as long as a GPRS or connection is maintained the SSL padlock will remain after you have browsed a secure site in IE (until it times out, or you return to home screen) I think its quite nifty secure sites are accessable, I used to have problems on wap (I can trade on e-trade no problem) I still have a problem on bank website though.
Guest Thurstan Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 yeah one example is when you check your Hotmail... usualy the padlock stays at the top in IE until you reboot
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Yus, I would expect it in PIE, but _every_ other window? Nevermind, just me being petty...
