It's not unlocking.. !

HI, I have spent the past couple of days unlocking my spvc500. ( dodgy coverage up north)

I did the orange Imei thingy and got that I was unlocked from security certs.

I then put the cert.cab file on and ran it from my phone it said successfully

I then did the last SPV services bit and it says that my phone is unlocked.

I then put in a different sim card ( 3) and it says invalid orange sim .. !! argghhh ..

I have read all the guides availbale and have followed it to the letter so am obviosuly doing something really thick here. :oops:

Please can you humour a newbie and point me in the right direction . PLEASE

Well it worked for me and im a northerner too 8^]

Only other option is to pay 20 squids for it done, but spv-services does work. I bought a c500 on ebay locked to orange and also app locked. 5 minutes later it was app and sim unlocked using spv-services, then flashed with Qtek 8010 firmware to latest version.

I used the passthrough method for app unlocking, waited a minute for the confirmation message that it was indeed security certificate disabled. Then load up spv-services and follow the prompts. I did have an orange payg sim in while unlocking.

thanks for the suggestions. I borrowed a friends O2 sim today and that works so it's just my 3 sim that doesn;t .. interesting mmmm I wonder why that is.... :roll:

Any thoughts?
