Guest 1T-M0nk3y Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 :-k Does anyone know if the higher resolution of the QVGA screen mean that an emulator would have to do less work :??: - The GBA is 240x160 so the screen would no longer need to be shrunk and instead could be hapilly used in portrait with top/bottom borders - I don't know much about emulators though so not sure if reducing the screen res would have been processor intensive - in other words I have no idea if the bigger screen now makes it feasible I know that GBA emulators on Pocket PCs are not all fantastic but without sound could you get it up to a fast enough frame rate :??: Also, if this is not possible is anyone working on a new GB/GBC emulator which expands the res to fill more of the screen :??: :?:
Guest w411y Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Kinda funny i was going to make a post today to see if a GBA emulator was possible on the c550. With or without sound wouldnt bother me, or the resolution.
Guest Jamma14 Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Nintendo made a patent making gba emulation on any device illegal. Sorry guys, I think it would be cool too but you aren't going to get many developers wanting to make something that Nintendo will hunt them down for. Since the gba is still out I think it is fair enough for them to want people to only play it on their console although I think their decision might've discouraged people from buying the games a bit. :?:
