Guest Disco Stu Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 You can't remove Solitaire & Jawbreaker as both games are part of the phone's ROM. All you can do is delete the shortcuts in \Storage \Windows \Start Menu \Games to give yourself less options to scroll through in the Games folder. It's actually not worth bothering though as you'll only get them back after a partial / hard reset and you're not going to gain any extra kbs. Likewise I don't think you can actually delete any of the pre-installed sound files on the C500. You can however get rid of all the homescreens & backgrounds in \Storage \Application Data \Home and the camera frames etc in My Documents. If you use Caller ID you can set it to pick up the photos from the storage card. You will need to create a folder on the card called 'IA Caller ID Photos' and you can shift all the pit files in there too. Probably the most important thing is to only keep the sound & homescreen files you are actually using on the phone itself. Store all the rest on the card and swap them around when you want to use them. Likewise delete your old messages and empty out the folders \Storage \MAPI and \Storage \Windows \Messaging. Then look in \Storage \Windows \AppMgr. This should contain a folder (with a tmp file inside) for all the software you have installed yourself. Do not remove them. However you will also find folders for software you have uninstalled. They can safely be removed. You could also go into Internet Explorer and delete all the temporary files there. Without tweaking the registry that's about it really.
