camera doesn't work

whenever i go to my camera or video recorder all i get is a black screen. has anyone else had this problem? when i first had the phone it worked, i guess cause all the downloads... well not all. i only have facade, photocontacts and onix or whatever's task list. do you think they caused problems with the camera? has anyone else experienced this?

i doubt any of your installed applications caused the problems you are having. i am guessing it is a hardware fault, hence you should return it for a replacement.

Try a hard reset before sending it for repair. Backup everything, turn it off, then hold the blue button and press the power button. It will ask you for format, click yes.

thanks james! and if i hard reset it will that delete everything? i'm guessing thats a yes but kinda hopeing for a no.

You will loose all installed programs, contacts, etc. You will not loose any mp3/video clips etc stored on the miniSD card though. Hard reset formats the phone's internal memory only.

You can use MS Activesync to backup contacts/inbox etc and Sprite backup for smartphones to backup everything else.

What firmware ROM do you have? You can check this in Settings, About, Manufacturer.
