c500 update problem

Hi guys.I've just downloaded the newest update or spv c500(4.2.1.4) and i have a prblem installing it on the phone.I connect my phone through USB,and when the pc shows the progress bar for the update my phone gets disconnected and on the phone screen it appears something with Typhoon stuff and the only way to power off the phone is to remove the battery....What should i do?

Welcome to the forum :D

Try running the update again but turn off your anti-virus software and don't use a USB hub.

If you get problems, make a proper note of the error message(s) ;)

I don't want to teach to suck eggs but I've noticed that when doing an update the phone does appear to disconnect from active sync and the pc but then continues with the update. Is this what is happening? Have you left it a while?

The phone disconnects from active sync and an error message appears on the desktop of the pc,so the update doesn't continue....And what should i use instead of a USB hub??

Oh and the error message that appears on the desktop says that the problem is the connection and telling me to reconnect the phone,etc...but still it doesnt work...

use a usb port on your computer, perhaps the one that the hub is plugged into?
