Guest Dave_Evans Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Hi guys, I'm due to upgrade my phone now, and I'm currently paying around £25 to £33 per month on my Orange phone bills (£20 per month + £5 Orange Care + Paid for calls/SMS/GPRS). When I upgraded from my E100 to my C500, It cost me around £85, but the Orange guy said I could get it for free if I upgraded my account, which I didn't. If there is a large charge for upgrading, do you think they would cut the price down a bit if I chose to upgrade my account to a Student accountt? Thanks, Dave
Guest mcwarre Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Hi Dave, welcome to the site!! Official prices haven't been released but considering your average spend (if you are outside minimum term) then probably £80 ish. Unless you call 150 and select the 'I want to leave Orange' and speak nicely to retentions. Make sure that you have relevant facts (like prices on other networks); be kind but stop short of begging. This could drop the price to £0. Unless you are unhappy with your current contract refuse offers to change.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Even Orange retensions were not interested in me ;) Then again my rental is about £17 plus insurance and call on top.
Guest Dave_Evans Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Thanks for the reply, I'll have to try haggling/trying to get it down, but I'm a bit of a usless talker, and I'll end up being walked all over knowing me, as I know I'm getting a bit of a pants deal at the moment I think, as I'm paying £20 per month for 30 minutes and 30 texts.
