Guest eggedd2k Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 i've got an orange spv c500 smartphone. i'm eager to get sat nav on it. is tomtom compatible with smartphones like the spv c500 and if so would it just require installing on the phone and then linking up to a bluetooth gps receiver? thanks in advance

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Basically when you buy TomTom5 you get the GPS unit with it. All you then need to do is copy from the SD card to the miniSD "as is" (best to use a card reader) and then start up the phone and run TomTom ;) It's that simple.
Guest eggedd2k Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 thanks. i'm bidding on some original tomtom 5 mobile software on e-bay - it doesnt come with the gps receiver although from the photos it does look like original software. guess ill have to wait and see.
Guest mcwarre Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 thanks. i'm bidding on some original tomtom 5 mobile software on e-bay - It will be illegal/copy. Tomtom license cannot be transfered so it is not valid whether it is genuine or not. it doesnt come with the gps receiver although from the photos it does look like original software. If it is genuine why isn't the BT GPS receiver included?
