Got one on ebay for a couple of quid, sound is now excellent with my portable sennheisers px100's, which i recommend. No point in a ipod apart from the storage but 1gb suits me just fine. Nice to have everything in one small device.

Can't believe you are plugging a 2 pin mono plug into a 4 pin socket, this is a bit risky as you are shorting connections inside the phone together. Also, mono sound!,you really need to a proper adaptor from someone who knows what they are doing.
