We just released the unlock for FREE to go with the Decert.....Your phone MUST BE DECERTED before using the unlock method... http://www.rebreathertech.com/decert/Subsidy_Code.zip This is being release by isosdcftp and myself and will be putting a link off the webpage for the decert as well for the unlocking....

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 What does this code.zip file actually do and how?
Guest tzarcone Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 What does this code.zip file actually do and how? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In a nut shell the i930 uses a "Disk on Chip" it is for lack of better words like a SD card internally. With the files included we take a dump of a partition on this chip and that becomes the raw file. In that raw file is the GSM unlock code you can open the raw file and if you go passed where the data is at the top of the file you will see a bunch of 0's well between the end of the data and the end of the file there is a set of 8 digits which is the unlock code for the phone. Iso created an executable to search this raw file for the 8 digit code and display it so it can be used easily by the user. Instead of having to go into the raw dump with a hex editor it is automated for ease of use. This has to be done on an decertified phone as well. If you ran the pdocread.exe you can make the dump file yourself than go into that dumped file with a hex editor and look for a string of 8 numbers grouped together and that is your unlock code. For more info on the tools like pdocread.exe check out this link: http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/tools.html
