Any way to keep the backlight on in Media Player?

when listening to music via my c500 in the car it'd be great to keep the backlight on in windows media player - i see you can keep the backlight on all the time throughout the phone via the phone's settings - this would obviously drain the battery. i'm just interested in keeping it on in windows media player.

any ideas?
