Orange 'SIM Update' SMS wipes registry tweaks

A while ago I made a couple of registry tweaks from xda-developers.com to my M2000, one of which was to add the SMS receipt notificatcation ability but last Friday they sent me a SIM Update message which removed that entry from the registry again. It was the day when my son was born so I was sending a lot of important texts and I wanted to make sure everyone had got them so I was using notification a lot. After the SMS and a reboot because the phone locked up the notification option had disappeared. I sent a few more important messages (inc. ward phone number, etc.) but later found that some of them didn't go through. Obviously I am somewhat annoyed by this and I've re-tweaked the registry now but if Orange object to me using notification they should contact me first before making changes to my phone that I may or may not agree to.

Strange. I have the same notification tweak, but last Fridays SIM update didn't change it at all. I've not noticed anything that's changed yet.
