Need a New Spartphone, Advice?

I've stuck with my MPX200 as long as I can stand it. I wanted something more substatial than a 220 or an C500 so I decided to wait.

The Qtex 8300 / imate SP5 looks really interesting. The WiFi alone is worth $500 for me (for music). It looks as if I could get one this week from Expansys.

Forgive the newb question, but will this phone work with my AT&T SIM card (I assume it comes unlocked since it's an import)? I don't fully understand how Cingular prevents people from using non-Cingular phones.

SP5 looks good, I'm using SP3-i with Cingular. Every function works fine i.e.: SMS, MMS, Email, Web browser, call-waiting, etc..

SP5 gets my vote followed by the C600 even though it does not have wi-fi ;)

SP5 is beautiful, mine just arrived today - and it comes with a pouch too - but get this... NO Mini SD card?

Is that right folks?

Please let me know.

Now... if I could just get it to send and receive MMS on O2 UK.

I've cabbed the settings over and rebooted, adn it says they are sent, but I am not receiving MMS on the SP5, nor are ones it sends arriving elsewhere.

I wonder if this is the phone, or if its O2 playing up today

Will the SP5 work in the US? Can it be used on Cingular? Will web browsing work on it along with all notifications? Where did you order the SP5 from?

You can pay £10 on top of the phone's price for a bundled tiny rubbish 16MB card or put that £10 towards a bigger one?

It's only worth having a memory card bundled if it's 512MB min. I already have a 512MB card and wouldn't want another one and have to pay extra cost when buying the phone for the extra card.
