anti mugger software?

As I was walking home the other night I got to thinking, what if I got mugged? Wouldn't it be good to be able to point your phone at your assailant and with one button have a photo sent off to a given number by mms. Maybe scumbags would be less likely to prey on the vulnerable if they knew their face would be with the cops within minutes. The mms could also include cell-based geographic information.

Anyone know any software that could be set up to do this?

If you point your phone to the mugger, would he/she smile?? I don't think so...

I wouldn't bother getting the phone out, gives them easy chance to snatch the phone from you.

Just either fight back or run away to the nearest shop/house/etc.

Yeah, I'd agree. It's not worth getting knifed for.

Even if you can identify the attacker from the dark, blurry photo the police won't be overly interested, and they certainly wont spend their time comparing it to snaps of their regular "customers".

My advice: Run, screaming like a little girl if it helps.
