Guest mcoxall Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Well I may be gloating a little but I Just called orange to cancel my contract and ask for PUK. When asked why I said I want the M5000 but I can’t get it from orange so I am getting the MDA Pro from t-mobile for free. Suffice to say my M5000 will be on the doorstep tomorrow free of charge.

Guest Pondrew Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) I know I sometimes go on about T-Mobile too much these days (well, they DO seem to have stolen the title of number 1 Pocket PC Phone provider from O2  ) but in all seriousness can someone tell me what the costings are for GPRS from Orange these days? Both new tariffs (including special offers) and regular data bundles? For example, how are they going to compete with T-Mobiles 18month Web N Walk 200 (200 xnet anytime minutes + 40mb GPRS/3G £35 a month for 6months / £16 a month for 12months and on until you upgrade/change tariff) for example? EDIT: Question answered in another topic: 1000MB DATA!!! Edited November 4, 2005 by Pondrew
Guest tomoskos Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 just phoned orange as my contracts just about up...got the m5000 for £89 upgrade fee and will arrive tommorrow or friday..... ;) :D :D
Guest tomoskos Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 well it arrived the next day as promised and what a nice bit of kit ;) its a tad bigger than im used to as ive only had the c500 previous. so many buttons and so few fingers....what do i press first. seriously ...played with it for a few hours after a 5 hour charge and pleased with it so far. The camera seems to have a setting that says 2M....presumably 2 million pixels...and the pics seem quite sharp and clear on that setting. Videos look exellent on it and very watchable due to the larger clearer screen compared to the smaller screen of the c500. Everything seems to run very smooth and load up pretty quick.
Guest Ozzie252 Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 The 1000 MB is a godsend. But what happens when 3 months is up. If you used 1000MB on pay as you go it would cost £1000. When are orange going to bring the price of 3G down? It's too expensive at the moment!!! They are pricing it identically to GPRS - this seems crazy to me as they have hugely different bandwidths. Am I missing something here?

Guest xspyda Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Agh ... Just over £100 for me for the 5000 and they would NOT budge any more than that! Having said that, I have just returned an M500 so I guess they knew I was going nowhere depite my hints that O may not be for me any longer! Still, £100 ain't too bad.
Guest w411y Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 £200 they want from me ... looks like I'll settle for a m2000 instead ;)
