Guest Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) Well just got into this Homescreen XML buisness , I had one all nicely done and was tweaking a few things and now its not showing up on my Phone no more. I changed the time and date code and after that it stopped appearing on my phone , The whole layout so can you see anything wrong in this part ? <!-- Date/Time/ --> *Note - I did not create this homescreen all credit goes to original author !kl1wdr_Cherries_HQ.home.xml Edited November 3, 2005 by Guest
Guest phaedra Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) hi ;) sorry, i don't have a c550 to try this but maybe i can help. have you tried opening the xml file in your web browser? it can help identify where the code is wrong. in this case the date/time part looks ok but there is an extra exclamation mark in the sms plugin title. hope this helps :D ps i just noticed the profile width. it's not "bad" code though :D Edited November 2, 2005 by phaedra

You can always copy other people's code to help you learn as well (maybe include thanks to the authors if you use some of their code in one of the homescreens you make though) ;) . For third party plugins, most of the decent ones have in depth documentation on their respective websites. Hope that's of some help. James
Guest w411y Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) i think your problem may be here ... I think the line should end in /> Not sure though But I agree with phaedra... Double click the *.home.xml (instead of open with->Notepad) and it should open with Internet Explorer (or your chosen web explorer) If there is something wrong with the xml, then it will identify the problem and highlight it out to you ;) Edited November 3, 2005 by w411y
