Getting rid of "Outlook E-Mail" account

Hi there I have an MDA compact and I have set up my email , but in the inbox tree I have another default "Outlook E-Mail" and I cant delete it, I guess theres a registry hack, and I'm sure I seen it on this forum but I'll be damned if I can find it now :D

Anyone help me please ;)

I think you can change the name of it, but I don't know about removing it altogether

I'm almost 100% sure I seen some registry hack for getting rid of the folder, after all its useless you can configure it to get your mails as it doesnt appear in the accounts part

It should appear in the list of accounts in Messaging, but it's designed for sync'ing emails with your PC so you cant set it to download from somewhere else.

Or do you mean it doesn't appear in Messaging, "Accounts", "Accounts..."? That'll be because you configure it in ActiveSync and not on the phone.

I think I've found what you were looking for to remove the Outlook account

I'm not sure it works on PPC though. The Key is in the registry on my M500, but I use Outlook E-Mail so I don't want to try it ;)

Give it a go, you can always reverse it
