Guest namiran Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 (edited) Ok so i've looked around and realized facts at different sites argue against eachother sometimes and sometimes just look stupid?! For instance: 1. Qtek 8310 does NOT have bluetooth stereo profile according to Mobile-review in this article...but according to the specifications, the phone should have bluetooth 1.2...why would they implement that if they do not use the included profiles? Edit: Btw, Expansys sais under specifications for the Qtek 8300 - Accessories - Stereo Bluetooth Headset with mono microphone...go figure... 2. C600 has USB 2.0 according to this article at coolsmartphone...but having a look at the qtek specifikations of the Qtek 8310 here you are only given USB 1.1...if the two phones use the same base and WM5 supports USB 2.0, why not use it in the Qtek too? theres other things that doesnt match up and seem stupid...anybody got the answeres for this? Maybe someone who owns a SP5 or c600 can check? /n Edited November 4, 2005 by namiran
Guest roma0803 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 1) I'm not sure. The current i-mate SP5(m) has BT1.1 and indeeed the 8300/8310 should get v1.2 without the extra profiles but with the other enhancements like better dataconnection and transfers. Something we know for sure when they hit the market. Expansys information has proven to be wrong a lot of times, so don't go by that to much. 2) USB1.1 is what both have.
Guest namiran Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 roma0803, so theres no idea buying a bluetooth stereo headset? thanx for the reply!
Guest roma0803 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I would wait until you know for sure in a few weeks.
Guest gilesjuk Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 roma0803, so theres no idea buying a bluetooth stereo headset? thanx for the reply! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's no point until A2DP is in the ROM, it might be months before this is available. It might never be available. Wait for it to be included and known to be working.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 I have an A2DP headset, and it doesn't work. Boo, hiss! P
Guest Pondrew Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Imate don't even try to claim Bluetooth 1.2 compatibility (which is required for stereo bluetooth). Unlike previous devices like the HTC Magician :?:
Guest namiran Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 (edited) Imate don't even try to claim Bluetooth 1.2 compatibility (which is required for stereo bluetooth). Unlike previous devices like the HTC Magician :?: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> are you sure that bluetooth 2.0 is needed? i thought it just needed 1.2...remember reading somewhere that bluetooth 2.0 implemented a battery saving mode superior to the one of 1.x and there wasnt much more differences...but maybe that was wrong? EDIT: read wrong...sorry..ignore this =) Edited November 7, 2005 by namiran
