C550 night time camera poor compared to C500

I am finding that using the C550 camera in poor light conditions (night time,indoors etc) to be much poorer than the C500 in the same situation. Why would this be? Anybody else noticed this?

This would be because it's not designed to be a fantastic digital camera! On the serious side though, I do agree, it doesnt take as good night shots as the c500 did but I'm not bothered as I don't expect to take many night shots with my phone anyways.

i would say the My C550 camera is better than my (and my mates) C500....

For daytime shots the c550 cam wipes the floor with the c500 cam, no doubt about that.

Even at nightime? Everything looks much darker than compared to the C500. And sometimes u can say select Auto mode and the pic will look fine for a second then go darker.

Is there any technical explanation as to why the C550 is poorer in nighttime mode than the C500? Isnt so good for taking pics/clips of nightime drunken antic in/outside of bars etc. Sometimes when playing about with the modes (auto,nighttime etc) it will briefly look ok for a sec but then go darker.
