Guest ed561nola Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005   After been using a Motorola Mpx200 smartphone and been expending money buying batteries for it I end up P. Off with it when start acting up refusing my sim card, loosing signal and service. There is when I deside to move to another smartphone which is my topic, now I need to know if anybody can give me a light about quality and performance with this brand?, or if somebody had any bad experience with it?, I will appreciate it.  :??:
Guest smeg36 Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 I personally love the VOQ. Some people don't like it because it is rather large, but hey you get a full QWERTY thumb keyboard in there! I can't use it as my main phone because it lacks BT, which I have become addicted to. But for someone who isn't overly concerned with size, and wants a keyboard, this is a great phone overall, both in build quality and performance.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 I have one and used it for a day :? To me the Voq appeared to run very slow even compared with an E200, (which is slower than the MPX200) Battery life of a day with normal game use for me was the biggest turn off. Lack of BT and Camera are not an issue with me but the battery is. One thing I did like is that the entire user manual is built into the phone which is an interesting idea. Overall it's a nice idea with the thumb pad etc but the pladding OS and battery lets it down.
Guest smeg36 Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 (edited) Really, it ran slow? You had the world version, correct? I wonder if there are any software differences between the US version and the world version that could cause lag in the world version. The one I have was very speedy with the 200Mhz processor. I was fairly impressed with it, and though it was at least as quick as the E200 I had, if not faster. I didn't own both at the same time though, so I guess I could be wrong. I really noticed the performance increase when using SmartNES. It actually ran fairly smooth with sound turned on, which no other Smartphone I have used was able to do. Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Personally I would recommend the SMT5600 over the Voq as it is a newer device and more compact. The Voq has little suppost and a small usergroup which does not help with troubleshooting problems etc.
