Guest tomyumg Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 Hi. I'm using SMT5600 in Thailand now. With unlimited GPRS, everything is very good. However, there is one problem. When I am connecting to internet, the phone will not be able to receive any call at all. The caller will get message saying that this number is out of service area or something like that. It is only when there is data transfer through GPRS. It's not that bad when I check my e-mail, but it is very bad when I'm watching TV because the data transfer all the time. Is there a way to set the priority of the phone to receive voice call when I'm watching internet TV?
Guest smeg36 Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 Nope. That is the way GPRS works. If you are actively transferring data, your calls will go to your voicemail. If the connection isn't active, like the page already loaded and you are reading it, a call will come through. So in your case, streaming tv maintains a constant connection and keeps your phone line busy the whole time you are connected.
