c600 new info and Q

Hi there!

OK, my first contract of 2 is almost up at the end of the month.

Orange said the C600 would be released by the end of last month/beginning of this and it still hasnt

they said today it will be at the end of the month - fair enough

I KNOW by reading some posts here that it does NOT have wifi BUT it does AND its NOT enabled, but it maybe during the near time of the release of phone

Where did this info come from? I went to the orange retail store today and asked them!

The guy said that the phone does have wifi capabilities but orange are to decide if they wish to enable/disable that feature nearer the time of the official launch.

Question I have for the people who have the C600 as a "test" device or whatever...

DOES it have .NET CF 2.0?

I am guessing no since it was still in beta last month but it has officially been launched and will be launching on the 7th of Novemeber (VS.NET 2005 which has .NET Framework 2.0)

The official line is that the C600 does not have the wi-fi hardware

and is actually the HTC Faraday which is a varient of the Tornado without wi-fi

interesting. I wish orange knew what they were talking about.

one guy says "its there but not enabled and will not know the status until the end of the month" the other says "no such thing"

well ive been to orange retail and they have always said that its in review... for the past 2 months. same reply today! i just phoned orange and guess what? they said it was launched this month! huh? lol. someone explain!
