Guest UniqueTouch Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Hi, I've had my i-mate sp5 for a few days now and am really loving it. I found a majot annoyance though. When I set the alarm for the morning (or whenever) it plays the tone ONCE and then waits on the dimiss screen (wtf for I don't know). Is there now way to repeat the alarm until I dismiss or snooze it myself? I hope it's just me and I'm doing something wrong or is this just another WM5 annoyance? Thanks
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 I thought that was fixed on WM5! If not, try the attached CAB... PCustom_CABbage_Repeating_Alarm.cab
Guest UniqueTouch Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Can you tried setting an alarm on yours and if it repeats or not? Do you know what regkey that cab is adding/amending as I'd rather do it manually. Cheers Paul.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 A quick look inside the CAB suggests it's setting: HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Clock value Script to apr Try it! ;) P
Guest UniqueTouch Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 YES!! That's fixed it - nice one Paul !! Another one bites the dust!!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Hah, i'm on fire tonight ;) P
Guest UniqueTouch Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Hah, i'm on fire tonight ;) P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> exactly what I was thinking!! Don't stop now Paul, keep em coming :D
Guest krypticide Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 I just tried this on my Axim X50v, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Does this only apply to clock alarms, and not appointment alarms?
Guest b0bby Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 for the script reg setting i tend to use apw2r waits for 2 seconds before repeating, it made me throw my c500 off the desk one morning using apr ;)
Guest barrowfordred Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 (edited) This Cab file seems to fix the looping alarm but stops the phone from vibrating when the alarm sounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To make the phone vibrate and sound alarm I used av0pw3r HOWEVER once the cabbage reg tweak is run you CANNOT change the alarm to anything else i.e vibrate only, so you are stuck with ring on loop!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd like to know what the original setting are. Edited January 12, 2006 by barrowfordred

Can someone please confirm this is correct ?

With the cab file it seems set and won't alter.

Guest iflya Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 ...or you could create a looped .wav using Windows Soundrecorder, or even use a long MP3. I using Cold Plays 'Clocks' as my ringing alarm. that way no playing with registries or no vibrating .... if i dont get up in the 3 and a half minutes it goes on snooze! E:)
