Weather Forcasting Apps

Hi all

I would like to know what people think of the weather apps out there. Which they think is best and why. Worst and why.

Got to have :-

- a today plugin

- skinnable interface

- reliable forcast site

- satelite image display

- configurable icons

- various useable layouts

- ability to only update forcasts if connected to net. Dont try to if not!

Checked out fizz weather and it looks good.

Been using weatherpanel from marsware which is simply brilliant and by far the best I can find anywhere on the net. But there is a catch.

The problem is the bloke who wrote it has gone missing in action. Not just busy but gone (poof...smoke bomb) since about Feb this year. The users of the app are still helping each other via the dedicated forum but no one knows what the hell has happen to this Martian character.

The software is so good that it doesnt need him to update it or anything....except for one tricky little item...apparently the software authenticates itself on his web server before fetching weather forcasts!

So what i hear you say...well good question...his domain name and server will be up for renewal in the near future and if he doesnt take care of them then no weather updates!! == dead software.

I own it so I wont be changing until (if) it stops working.

I personally don't use weather apps on my M500 so I'm afraid I can't recommend any particular program, but I own apps from SPB software, which I would recommend. They have SPB Weather which might be a good one for you to look at.

I use PocketWeather by SBSH. I'm sure you are aware of their incredible customer service and they are always updating their products. Give it a trial run and see how you like it. WillyG has made some nice icons for it which are available from the forums site at SBSH.
