Pay as you go on Orange

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to buy a phone on Pay as you go, as a foreigner?

I'll be going to London in a couple of weeks, and would like to buy a C550.

Does Orange require me to supply a UK address when buying pay as you go-phones?
