Guest djsimmy Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 no body had this problem or no the answer?
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 I've never experienced your problem but have hard reset my C500 several times. The key to it is the timing. 1. Switch the phone off. 2. Hold the 2 softkeys down and keep them held down. 3. Press the power button for a second only before releasing. Keep those softkeys down - any slight release will stop the hard reset procedure starting. 4. Phone will appear to boot up as normal at first but then will give the option to press 0 to enter Cold Boot Configuration. 5. If not, switch off and try again until you get it right - trust me ;)
Guest shadamehr Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 (edited) no body had this problem or no the answer? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> djsimmy, This sounds very much like a HARDWARE fault on the joystick sensors, and if so, a Factory Reset is unlikely to help. Let us know however... Edited November 7, 2005 by shadamehr
Guest djsimmy Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 it wont let me do a resest. i do the instructions and it just gives me the boot up screen with all that thyphoon s*** on. also if i go threw start menu and use the factory reset this reboots phone and just goes onto the boot screen. also if i do factory reset will i lose my unlocking for o2 and my software unlock?
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Like I said, you have to be very accurate with the timing. Be patient when you get it right - it takes ages to boot up after the reset. You will not have to SIM-unlock again but you will need to software unlock after the hard reset.
Guest djsimmy Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 wat do i have to get timing right on tho i mead u hold down the 2 keys turn it on after holding button down if i hold if for like a second i just get the boot screen if i hold it to long it boots up my phone like usual no were do i get the screen to boot even when holiding down the buttons
