Guest mcwarre Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 All, Can anyone tell me the GPRS data charges on Vodafone (contract) please? I have contacted customer services who firstly tried to put me on a 3G plan (with a 2G phone) and then tried to sell me a data card!!! Also do Vodafone do GPRS packages (i.e. 3mb for £x/month) or is it all pay-as-you-consume? Can’t find it anywhere. Many thanks.
Guest Emad Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 (edited) £2.35/mb seems to be the standard for pay monthly: http://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Port...&pageID=GM_0328 £7.50/mb for pay as you go(!) Edited November 7, 2005 by Emad
Guest mcwarre Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Thanks emad. A bit expensive. Do they do GPRS bundles anyone?
Guest davy Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=22917 Have a look at the above thread. Seems that data is actually part of there text bundles. Costs around £1 per mb it seems. hth davy
Guest Cybertronic Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) It's true for the SMS/MMS/Data bundles and it was confirmed by Vodafone for me ;) Lets say you have a 250 text messages bundle, it's equlivant to 4.5MB of GPRS or 100 MMS (I think, it might've 50) :D You can use any of them at the same time too :D I think it's a lot better compared to Orange :D Edited November 10, 2005 by Cybertronic
Guest mcwarre Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Thanks all. I shall give it a try and let you know

As happy as a pig in the perverbial

Guest Emad Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 (edited) I just found this out today when I activated my vodafone. Am well chuffed. GPRS monitor on the 9100 is acting a bit strange though - 1k a second even with GPRS off (!). Weird. Nearly time to start using stop the clock ;) Oh, vodafone GPRS settings for 9100: PAP authentication in settings->connnections->gprs settings settings->connections->add a new modem connection in my isp, username web, password web. Is there any way to check how many texts you have left? Edited November 11, 2005 by Emad
