C500 Roms..

Hey there..

Well i was going to upgrade my rom today to try something new on my SPV C500.. But i didn't get it, because i don't know what to go for..

I mean i don't know what version is the newest and best... Is it possible to see that on the ROM's version number ? Is it like the higher number the newer/better version ? And what does each number actually mean.?

I also think it could be cool if you could make a sticky topic with the available roms out there, with info on each..

Generally, as with most software, the highest number is the latest and the one you should use.

Occasionally though, in fixing one problem, sometimes more problems are created, or discovered. Hence the reason they release another ROM.

I don't think orange actually mention what the ROMS's fix, so it's down to the user to have a look and see what now works, or is different.

If you are still on the original ROM, i'd upgrade to the latest one giving you Media Player 10 and MP3 ringtones. If you already have Media Player 10, then any later ROMS's seem to be just bug fixes.

If you are happy and not having any problems though, then there's no urgency to upgrade your handset.

Iam having a problem with games.. I have the new SP3 rom installed.. When you as an example run in a game (where you have to hold down a button) it lags like you wouldn't believe.. As soon as i stop holding down the button it runs fine! And it is so in all games..

But still..

It could be cool to list all the roms in a sticky tread .. Don't know if it possible though..
