Guest Jason S Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Being a new owner of a SPV C500 and being the curious but not very techy type (a potentially dangerous combination) I've been reading up on the technical side of things on this site and trying to follow it on my phone. However, one thing I just can't get to grips with is com7 (outbound port). I've seen lots of references to this and to com6 (incoming) but as I've never owned anything bluetooth capable before  I'm not sure what it's all about. How do I find it and what does it do? I've tried going into bluetooth and selecting com ports but all i can see is Incoming Port (COM6). I feel a bit dense asking what is probably a very easy question but I'm not sure what it does, where I can find it and what I will need it for. Any help would be appreciated.

Guest hotphil Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Have you tried following the pinned guide to Bluetooth and Activesync in this forum? http://www.modaco.com/Bulletproof_Guide_Al...th-t119341.html
Guest rodg98133 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 From my understanding the com ports are what you use to connect the phone to your PC via activesync and BT. The guide above is a good guide.
