Guest rudalawa Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 just bought my self a xda exec on o2 contract, firstly active sync doesnt work with the usb cable, its slow and a bit heavier then i expected! any way my main problem is that i love to watch films on the go but i cant find any software to play divx movies. i used to use beta player on my c500 but i cant seem to get it for the pda, any suggestions on other applications, or possibly what i may be doing wrong in installing beta player!!
Guest bodge Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 hi all same ere. just upgraded from a c500 and c550 to eda exec, how do i play video files on it?
Guest sunilbass Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 i had to install a player, pocket music and video player (pocketmvp) to watch non wmv files!!!
Guest commonpersonjustlykeverybody Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 never had a m5000 but have you tried tcpmp(betaplayer). here is the link.
Guest spacemonkey Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Yep, tcpmp is what I use. It's the latest incarnation of betaplayer and it's very good. I'm running it on a qtek 9100 (wizard) with no problems. never had a m5000 but have you tried tcpmp(betaplayer). here is the link.
Guest Skilty Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) Yeah, Betaplayer and pocketdivx encoder are what I'm using on my M5000, although I was getting better results with the same software on my M2000. I'm going to have a search about today to see if there are any better methods of ripping and watching videos on the M5000. Will post findings Edited November 10, 2005 by Skilty
Guest rudalawa Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 just tried pocket mvp, when i try to play a movie it just crashes and closes the program, skilty you said that you managed to put betaplayer on your m5000, i tried to install it with the exe file but it comes up with an error on my exec saying the application is not digitally signed and cannot install could you tell me which .cab file you used so i can try that instead!
Guest rudalawa Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 dont know why but it decided to install today, great piece of software
Guest BGone Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Yeah it works perfectly but my subtitles are in Cyrillic. Is there an option where I can choose Cyrillyc because the subtitles appear wrongly. If this player does not have such a function then could you please share another one. Have a great day
