Where are Java applets like Google Local stored?

Hi. I'm playing around a bit with Google Local for Mobile. Kind of fun I must say, pitty there are no detailed maps of Europe (and mind the GPRS costs). Google Local runs as a java applet and the applet stores in phone memory (about 394kb). Can someone tell me where and if it is possible to store these applets on the storage card?
