Disabling Camera Button on side of 5600

On my Audiovox SMT5600, I'd like to disable the camera button from activating the camera application when pressed.

I'm hitting it when I'm talking on the phone, or holding it while messaging or playing games. Suddenly the camera app takes over, because my finger hit the button. Very annoying.

I'm hoping there's a registry setting, or some software tweak. Because if I can't find one, I'm going to find a "hardware" solution... maybe removing the button all together...

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
