Hi,

I'm having problems installing ActiveSync4. I have tried installing it from the Qtek9100 that came with the phone and dowloading it and every time when the install runs I get the following and that is it.

Command line parameters:

/L language ID

/S Hide intialization dialog. For silent mode use: /S

/v/qn.

/V parameters to MsiExec.exe

/UA

/UW

/UM

Now I have no idea what that means, can anyone help, please

The error message you are seeing looks like a command-line "usage" string. It's a little bit of helpful text to aid you when working at the command-line. You usually see it when you get an option wrong when you run the command.

Now, I take it you just double-clicked on the installer, meaning that somewhere inside it, it uses a utility that bails.

To fix, try this: Google for Microsoft Installer, I think that's what it's called. Make sure you have the latest version...you might be able to get it from Windows Update, which you should also go to and download all that's updated.

Try again once you have the latest versions. If that fails, you'll likely need to completely clean out the half-baked AS4.1 installs you have before starting afresh.

The command line parameters pop-up will also show if you already have ActiveSync installed!

Just go to MS and downlod AS4.2 it should upgrade any version you already have.
