Hi, I think my first post on this got lost in a topic it perhaps wasn't appropriate for. Hence the new topic.

I'm looking for how to keep the keypad lighting on my i-mate SP5 from timing out after what seems like just a few seconds. I am not so concerned about battery life but I do need to be able to see those keys in the dark! Thanks for any advice...

turn off the sensor in power management, it'll keep the keys lit up permanently then

No it doesn't. Just enables them to lit even though there's enough daylight. A tweak would be welcomed.

Exactly -- I'd already tried that light sensor thing and found it didn't keep the keys lit any longer.

Hard to believe there's no way to control this (and incredible that the phone has been so stupidly designed...)

I'm beginning to think it's probably a registry tweak. Any idea which key, anyone?
