AvantGo - Problem Syncing

I have the latest version of AvantGo installed on my MDA Vario and am having problems syncing from the phone. I can successfully sync it using ActiveSync pass through in my office and over GPRS. I can't sync at home either via ActiveSync pass through or via my wi-fi network. My office ISP is Demon and my home ISP is ntl. I suspect there is a problem with ntl but wanted to see if anyone else had had a similar problem.
