After seeming to get their act together following the takeover by Carphonewarehouse, the Cashback cheques seem to be suffering again.

One of the guys in my department bought a Sony K750i on a deal that had an automatic cashback then the normal "submit your cashback form" deal for future payments.

His automatic cashback didn't arrive and their customer services blamed it on the merger with Carphonewarehouse. It eventually arrived, but by this time, ir was time to claim refund no 2 by refund voucher. He is now told that for some other excuse from the OSPS Fob-off manual, no cheques are currently being sent out. :evil:

Now, my last cashback claim goes in next month and my 12 month contract is coming to an end and I would be most grateful if anyone has got any recent (i.e.post September) experience with our friends. I have to admit that my last 2 claims went through no bother, admittedly taking some 5 weeks, and I was planning to get my next phone there.

It's a damned shame that there is no UK retailer who can normally beat their prices, but that's no good if you have all the hassle of getting them to pay up.

So, latest experiences please.
