A few questions to SPV C600 users

Hello people!

I just got my SPV C600, it is great, but I still can't manage to launch the new ringtones from the storage card, I always have to save them to the ringtones directory, but there isnt much space available on the home disk.

How do you people do that?

Is it possible to connect to the computer on bluetooth, which has an internet connection, and use its connection, so I don't have to waste money on GPRS, while surfing in my house?

Is there a program you can recomand to play divx videos? except Core pocket it bugs like hell!

I heard ActiveSync 4.0 has some vulnerabilites, should I use 3.8 instead?

Put them in a "My Documents" folder you must create on the Storage Card - its the only place they work from. Works fine on my sp5 and no delay to ring when a call comes in.

Yes it is. Setup ActiveSync so you can connect to it via BT - see other posts on this site if you need detailed help. Then, when connected to AS via BT, go on the internet on the phone and it shoulduse your PC's existing internet connection, not dial up from the phone. You might have to make sure the phone is set for the right connections (I think its "Automatic") in the Data Connections settings for pass-thru.

That's the only one I know of, but I am finding it really bad for the QVGA WM5.0 platform - the files DO play, but when you pause out of it, the application cannot re-draw its menus etc properly, or sometimes at all. You have to take a blind guess and press the softkeys to bring up a menu, as the screen itself is blank, or has a corrupted looking video on it when you pause it.

You can't - alas, AS 4.0 or 4.1 is now essential, to connect to a WM5.0 based device now - and I have to say I am finding it crappy as hell - not because of the know connection issues themselves that MS are aware of, but a NEW issue - that it seems to refuse to sync SOME of my calendar appointments for no reason, and with no warning or indication - they just don't sync. It's also SLOW AS HELL compared to previous versions for sync'ing itself, but obviously a lot faster for file transfer specifically, due to USB2.0 support. Sync'ing takes forever for me though.

Erm, I'm in the UK, so have no idea where you are if you are in Europe elsewhere mate - wouldn't have a clue.

But I do know that in the UK, they weigh in at around £10 to £15 now anyway, so around that price range.

Try expansys - you should get one there fine.

Hi everyone,

I just got new C600 from Orange and have few questions:

1. Why vibrating (in Meeting profile) sometimes work and sometimes (usually) not? Everything is set properly in profile definition.

2. Why can't I synchronize files? I just don't have this option in ActiveSynv ver. 4.1 This is very important for me, I even purchased a 512MB miniSD card for this. How can I enable this feature?

3. How can I set in calendar to call someone i.e. tomorrow? It was so easy in Nokia but here I have only calendar and can't choose any event type.
