Guest p2daz Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 I don't know about everyone else - but i really miss the for sale section. I think i understand why it was removed - due to some theiving gits i presume?? Just a thought though,i am a member of another site (car related) and their forum uses an ebay style feedback system - your trade rating is displayed under your user name and avatar. Could this not work on Modaco? cheers Daz
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 That was discussed I think, but at the end of the day this is a Windows Mobile forum, not an auction/sales site. How could anyone "guarantee" that feedback was genuine? It's not a simple add-on to a forum. I for one think closing the section was the right decision. Too many fraudsters and cheated members to justify it.

Take a look at thisexample I picked this at random from a site i use(sorry if it's a Modaco member) ;)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 It was mainly one individual in Glasgow that was causing these problems. Unfortunately the people he stole from did not persue the matter further with the police, so rather than having more members getting ripped off we have been forced to close the For Sale Section down.
Guest TigerNet Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 ...I agree it is a shame...I am not a fan of eBay, but found an outlet here for some of my kit - and those that bought appreciated it I think...now I have to let stuff go to CEX... ...oh well... Cheers Nick
